Star Student have always been really good at helping us out. As first time student renters they were prompt to reply to questions and the whole document signing process was very quick and easy. After living in one of their properties for nearly a year, they have remained easy to contact and get any maintenance issues sorted asap when you raise them. I write this reference having been a client of Star Investments and Star Students for nearly twenty years until we disposed of our whole portfolio of 65 beds in April 2021.
Star identified investment properties for us to purchase, advising us on the prime locations in Exeter; oversaw refurbishment and conversion into student accommodation; managed all compliance, which during the period during which we were clients grew increasingly onerous; arranged the letting of the properties to suitable tenants which they always qualified to the extent that rent arrears were never a problem; and managed the properties whilst they were occupied, collecting rents and deposits, arranging any repairs etc.
Throughout the whole period we never had any cause to complain about the service that we received from Star, and never received a single complaint from a tenant.
My admiration for Star was confirmed when we sold our whole portfolio to an institutional investor. It would have been next to impossible to complete the transaction without Star’s help and cooperation.
